Burton upon Trent is 18 miles north of Burntwood — the A38 connects us directly and it is one of our most straightforward longer-distance runs. Home of the UK brewing industry and a strongly growing town.
Burton upon Trent has been synonymous with brewing since the 13th century — the sulphate-rich water of the River Trent created conditions ideal for pale ale production, and at the industry's peak in the 1880s, Burton was producing a third of all the beer brewed in England. Coors, Marston's and the National Brewery Centre are the visible remnants of that heritage in the town today.
The modern town is considerably more diverse than its brewing heritage might suggest — a strong distribution and logistics sector (the A38 and A511 make it a natural hub), a growing healthcare sector and a residential market that is attracting buyers priced out of Derby and Lichfield. DE13 and DE14 in particular have seen strong property activity over the past three to four years.
We come in from Lichfield via the A38 — a direct route that takes 25 minutes in reasonable traffic. Branston to the west and Stretton to the north are the areas where most of our Burton move enquiries originate. The town centre has some of the tighter access that riverside market towns typically have, but the surrounding residential streets are generally good for vans.
Full house moves across DE13, DE14 and DE15 — any size property.
